Pameran Alutsista Kodim 1405 di STAIN Parepare

Kodim 1405 Parepare memerkan persenjataan canggih yang dimiliki satuan ini di hadapan mahasiswa. Mulai  senjata jenis pistol, sniper hingga alat telekomunikasi satelit diperlihatkan dalam pameran Alat Utama Sistem Persenjataan (ALUTSISTA) di kampus Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri Parepare. Kegiatan ini pun akan berlangsung hingga besok, Kamis, 10 September.

Dandim 1405 Parepare, Letkol Jzi Syarifuddin Sara, mengatakan, kegiatan ini bisa berjalan berkat kerjasama pihak STAIN. Kegaiatan ini pun bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan sistem persenjataan TNI ke masyarakat, utama mahasiswa. Dia pun senang, STAIN bersedia bekerjasama dan memberikan wadah dalam melakukan kegiatan ini.

“Yah kalau kegiatan ini sangat berfungsi untuk masyarakat, mungkin ke depannya kami bisa terus lakukan. Namun untuk tahun ini hanya terbatas satu saja, namun bisa saja ketika ada permohonan dari kampus lain. Kita bisa memfasilitasi sesuai dengan kemampuan kami yang ada. Selain kegiatan ini, kami juga siap jika diminta untuk membawakan materi pertahanan masional,” kata dia.

Ketua STAIN Parepare, Ahmad S Rustan, mengatakan, pihaknya sangat merespons niat baik Kodim 1405 untuk menggelar kegiatan di kampus tersebut. “Kegiatan ini sangatlah baik untuk STAIN parepare, apalagi ini merupakan tawaran yang harus didukung. kami memamg dalam lingkup STAIN Parepare, selalu terbuka untuk bekerjasama dengan instansi mana saja, selama itu mendukung kemajuan mahasiswa,” jelasnya

Perubahan Bentuk Menjadi IAIN

ekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri (STAIN) Kota Parepare pada akhir tahun ini akan menjadi institut.

"Paling lambat akhir tahun 2015 atau awal tahun 2016 Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri (STAIN) Parepare, menjadi Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Parepare," kata Direktur Pendidikan Tinggi Agama Islam (PTAI) Kementerian Agama (Kemenag) Republik Indonesia, Amsal Bachtiar, Senin (23/3/2015).

Beliau menjelaskan, alih status STAIN Parepare menjadi IAIN hanya soal waktu saja. Apalagi, seluruh syarat administrasi yang dibutuhkan, kini telah dapat dipenuhi STAIN.

Tak hanya STAIN Parepare, sejumlah STAIN lain di Indonesia juga tengah dipersiapkan bertransformasi bentuk ke jenjang kelembagaan yang lebih tinggi, yakni setingkat institut atau IAIN.

Pada tahun 2014 lalu, Kemenag melakukan konversi sembilan STAIN menjadi IAIN, yaitu STAIN Jember, STAIN Kendari, STAIN Manado, STAIN Salatiga, STAIN Purwokerto, STAIN Samarinda, STAIN Tulungagung, dan STAIN Aceh.
